Rich Eisenberg advises his nonprofit clients on the complex and wide range of laws applicable to tax-exempt organizations engaged in public interest, policy advocacy, and political activities.

Rich’s overall practice focuses on the wide range of tax, campaign finance, election, lobbying, and privacy laws applicable to tax-exempt organizations.

Rich also advises clients on data privacy laws, and he is gaining a reputation in the area of compliance by United States tax-exempt organizations with European Union data protection regulations, known as the GDPR.

Rich is motivated by helping progressive clients accomplish their important missions while complying with applicable laws and minimizing their legal risk.

Rich gained experience on election-related tax issues serving as an in-house campaign finance lawyer for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

Rich began his legal career as a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York. He served in the general counsel offices of the Air Force and the Army during the Obama Administration, before joining Harmon Curran in 2017.

Rich serves on the Board of Directors of Inclusion NextWork, a global community of emerging leaders advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and social justice.
